The Harbour-Evening Mooring
Title: "Harbour Light - Evening Mooring" original watercolour on paper. A quiet Scottish harbour at dusk, with two small fishing boats tied against the dark stone wall. Whitewashed cottages with slate roofs line the quay, their windows glowing warm amber and soft pink against a misty blue-grey sky. The water holds loose reflections and a gentle movement, painted with wet-on-wet washes and fine ink details. I wanted to keep it minimal and atmospheric — more feeling than detail — that stillness you get when the tide is low and the lights just start coming on. Loose watercolour, ink linework, cold-press texture.
